QR Code Generator in JAVA
QR Code Generator in JAVA
What are QR Codes?
The QR Code or Quick Response Code is a two-dimensional barcode that can be read by modern smartphones and specialized QR code scanner devices.
A QR code consists of black squares arranged in a square grid on a white background. There are several versions of QR codes based on their symbol size, layout, encoding and structure.
How to Generate QR code using JAVA ?
So here we will use Google's Zxing library.
1. start eclipse and create meven project and add the following dependencies in your pom.xml file to include zxing in your project -
<dependencies>
<dependency>
<groupId>com.google.zxing</groupId>
<artifactId>core</artifactId>
<version>3.3.0</version>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>com.google.zxing</groupId>
<artifactId>javase</artifactId>
<version>3.3.0</version>
</dependency>
</dependencies>
2. create Class inside src/ and write following code.
package mr.codingboy.java;
import java.util.Scanner;
import java.io.File;
import java.io.FileInputStream;
import java.io.FileNotFoundException;
import java.io.IOException;
import java.util.HashMap;
import java.util.Map;
import javax.imageio.ImageIO;
import com.google.zxing.BarcodeFormat;
import com.google.zxing.BinaryBitmap;
import com.google.zxing.EncodeHintType;
import com.google.zxing.MultiFormatReader;
import com.google.zxing.MultiFormatWriter;
import com.google.zxing.NotFoundException;
import com.google.zxing.Result;
import com.google.zxing.WriterException;
import com.google.zxing.client.j2se.BufferedImageLuminanceSource;
import com.google.zxing.client.j2se.MatrixToImageWriter;
import com.google.zxing.common.BitMatrix;
import com.google.zxing.common.HybridBinarizer;
import com.google.zxing.qrcode.decoder.ErrorCorrectionLevel;
public class QRCode {

createQRCode(qrCodeData, filePath, charset, hintMap, 200, 200);
System.out.println("QR Code image created successfully!");
System.out.println("Data read from QR Code: "
+ readQRCode(filePath, charset, hintMap));
}
